The Last Show

Had the opportunity to attend the 'Final Call for The Top Room' with Dan this evening. It was my first and final time there, since it was their closing show today.
It's a really nice and cozy place to just lay back and enjoy good jazz music, but sadly everything has to come to an end.

Junji Delfino - I fell in love with her voice :P

Mia Palencia - she's just adorable la *hee

David Gomex, Dan, Jonathan & Julian doing what they do best :)

Dan with his constipated face *hee

The very last and final number

Other various musicians and vocalist performed too.
All in all, it was a great evening :)

Happy New Year!

Just last week, everyone was busy wishing each other 'A Merry Christmas'.
So before I forget, let me wish you all on behalf of Dan too 'A Blessed Happy New Year!' :)
Much has happened this year; both good and bad, but the good ones definitely out numbered the not-so-good ones *hee
For me, the highlight of this year would be.... *hee I don't even have to type it out, and I'm sure most of you would have already guessed it correctly.
Yup! Dan is the highlight *hehe
Its been 6 months since we got back together, and it has been simply wonderful!
We do have our shares of highs and lows, but 99.9% of the time - we're just in total awe of each other :P
I've never been happier :)
Its also my final year in Uni. You've no idea how anxious I am about graduation, and starting work! I heard it time and time again that studying is way better than working, but I beg to differ; I think it's pretty much the same. The challenges and responsibilities just come in different forms.
Like many other years, I would make resolutions for each new year but not for next year. Why?
No particular reason actually. Just want to do things differently, since its a brand new year :)
Have a great time celebrating :P

Sorry for the lack of updates.
Dan and I have been busy feasting for the past few days, but it seems like I'm the only one that's pilling on the kilos :P

There's cover charge; RM20 and starts at 10pm.

Merry Christmas!!!

Children

Children,
They teach us patience,
A lot of tolerance,
Especially the brats of your relations.

Children,
They teach us humility,
Moderation in vanity,
While giving you insanity.

Children,
They teach us respect,
Just when they attack,
You're not allowed to strike back.

Children,
They teach us discipline,
To do and not be seen,
To be cute and hopefully clean.

Children,
They teach us to be strong,
When they come along,
There's not right or wrong.

Children,
They teach us love,
From heaven above,
Even if they always get on your nerves.

The holiday season made me an ass

I've been a lazy ass.
I'm barely close to completing my thesis writing, and I'd to set the deadline before Christmas.
Christmas is only two days away, and I'm not even halfway through.
The holiday season has definitely taken a toll on me; I've never procrastinated to this extend before.
Even though I'm way off schedule, clouds of guilt and worry are nowhere to be found.
I seriously need to be motivated, but I truly doubt that I've any more time left for motivation to sink in.
Therefore, these two coming nights will surely be long and sleepless - the price that I've to pay for being a procrastinator and a lazy bum *darn!

I've been tagged

Josephine tagged me :P And normally I would just ignore it, but since its the Christmas season; I'll be nice and actually do it *hee

Rules:

Each player of this game writes about his/her Christmas wishes. People who get tagged need to visit your blog to find out more, and then write about the same topic in their blogs. Player must state the rules clearly, and pass this on by tagging the same number of people. To tag someone, leave a comment in his/her blog and tell them that they have been tagged. Number of blogger to tag: Up to you. Happy tagging.

Now, my personal wish list for Christmas:

1) Nokia N70 Music Edition
2) A medium size black leather handbag
3) A new laptop
4) Free jazz/hip hop dance classes for a year :P
5) A later curfew, thus I'm able to attend Dan's gigs
6) Money! To go shopping, of course! *hee (Hence I can buy prezzies for everybody, since I'm terribly broke now)
7) A new cardigan to keep myself warm (I'm cold intolerant)
8) More time to spend with Dan, friends and my family

I’m tagging:

1) Dan
2) The Fly
3) Spunkz
4) Mun K

Btw, no one is obligated to buy me anything from the list. However if you insist on getting me something, just make a Christmas card for me *hee. Anyway it's the thought that counts, not the price or the size of the prezzie :)

When pain rules

My migraines have been frequenting for these past few days. I'm a little fearful that it might worsen over the week. Really need to resume with my thesis writing, and there's Christmas to prepare for. I'm so fed up with the constant migraines, its just plain tiring. And no, I've not been consuming large amount of chocolates or cheese. And I don't fancy caffeinated drinks, hence I don't drink them. I truly need a new brain this Christmas.

And I hate that I'm broke during the festive season, thus no money to buy prezzies for the people that I sayang :(

So tak best...

And Dan and I bought a white anthurium plant as a b'day present for his mum. I know it's a tad too late to be asking this question but I'll ask anyway; Is it alright to buy a plant as a gift?

And there's too many 'And' in this post =_=

I've IBS

My stomach hasn't been kind to me lately.
Most of the time, I'm either diarrhetic or constipated - particularly, since the beginning of this month.
It's slightly over 7 am, and I'll be leaving for Uni shortly - but with my tummy feeling uneasy and weird; all I long to do is to lay down and sleep.

My Olympus is back!

My parents and sisters are finally back from the Philippines!!
The best part of it all is; I'm no longer camera-less! *hee
I think I miss my Olympus more than my family :P

P.S. Will be changing the address of this blog real soon :) The new add is www.dan-cass.blogspot.com
I'm not sure whether this partnership will be a successful one, since Dan hasn't posted anything yet - maybe he's a little reluctant to let go of his old blog :P
The new address will be activated from next Monday (17th of Dec) onwards. However if Dan decides to keep his old blog, the add of this blog will remain the same.

I'm doing a lil promo on behalf of the bass player. Btw its about time I start referring to the bass player by his name; Daniel or Dan, for short.

For further details on location, click on All Dat Jazz that is categorized under my 'Links'.

Need ideas!

I offered full partnership of this current blog to the bass player, and he agreed :)
However we've have a minor problem; we need to rename the blog's add but we can't seem to come up with one.
Actually the bass player is too lazy to think of one, while I can't think of a really good and unique one.
So I'm open to suggestions, but don't make it sound too chezzy ok? :P

A disgrace

Just finished watching Miss World on Astro, and I'm simply disgusted!
Its tremendously hard to believe that Miss China won the crown! Uh! *spits
I might sound as if I'm exaggerating, but if you'd watched it - you'll understand me perfectly.
In MY opinion, the standard of Miss World has deteriorate throughout the years.
Miss Malaysia should have been in the top 5. In fact, she deserves the freaking crown!
No, I'm not being bias because I'm also a Malaysian - she spoke so intelligently and fluently compared to the rest of the top 16. Even Miss USA deserve a spot in the top 5, but not Miss China or Miss Sweden! The judges are either dumb, deaf or blind!
Yes, I'm frustrated with the results. Miss China did not even answer to the question. She blabbered all the way with her horrendous broken English, and tried her utmost best to butter up the judges. Could barely understand a word she was saying!
A piece of advice to the current Miss World; please brush up on your English!
I'm not implying that if you can't speak English, you're a loser - but being able to converse fluently in English is undeniably important if you're going to be a global ambassador. You can't be speaking half-past-six English, while trying to convey your message throughout the world.
Yes, I know and agree that we should be proud of our native language bla bla bla...and embrace it bla bla bla...yet English is the language that is still being use worldwide!
I'm too aware that the Mandarin language has become vividly important (I can testify to that, since I'm a Chinese who can't speak Chinese - and I've my share of struggles and prejudices from people because of my incapability), yet the English language still rulez!
The Miss World organization should emphasize the importance of being able to speak in English fluently, even better if they make it as one of the main requirements.
Addition to that, they should stop portraying the image that being slim and an air head is beautiful.
The average population is not even a tad close to size 2 or 0 (In fact, the average size of a person is 6 or 8), do not have a perfect set of white pearlies or have luscious long hair and body, and acting dumb is seriously not attractive.
I guess the world has completely forgotten that normal looking people are beautiful too - more beautiful, in MY opinion.
