I'm spoilt :P

Last Wednesday, Dan purposely drove me all the way to KLCC to have fondue! Well we actually went to Great Eastern Mall first. Dan said they used to have a Haagen Daz branch over there. However when we arrived there, no sign of HD!

Yummy fondue! Totally worth it :)

After pampering me with fondue, he insisted on spoiling me rotten, even more! A lip gloss from the Body Shop! I love Body Shop products, but their a tad pricey. Anyway, I needed a new lippy, and a Body Shop lippy was definitely a bonus :) Thank you darling! *hee

On the contrary, I visited Bangsar Village for the very first time with two of my girlfriends from high school. There's nothing much there, but I managed to purchase a pair of heels worth RM20 only! *grins

There were a few attractive items that I wanted to buy, but had to resist the temptation - allowance pun belum dapat :(

And I miss Dan terribly..cepat balik dari Genting!

A presentation and a date tmr

I won't be going to the office tmr! Yay!
Unfortunately I'll be having my thesis presentation tmr *Boo! Hoooooo :(
But I'm looking forward to my date with Dan later in the afternoon tmr *hee

I feel really unprepared even though I've gone through the slides a couple of times since yesterday.
Maybe because it's been too long since I last touch or browse through anything that was related to my thesis.

I'll just surrender it all to God, and I believe that all will go well :)

Keep me in prayer yah *winks

I'm so happy that I'm not working tmr *jumps around and screams franticly :P

Frustrations of an uncontented heart

So many things I need and want to buy, but no money to purchase a single thing *pouts

I'm having migraines again. It has been frequenting for the past few days, it's frustrating *frowns

I want Dan to manjakan me *sobs

Maybe I should just sleep my blues away...

Why can't I ever be contented? :(

Sunburst!

Well a quick update on Sunburst KL Music Festival that took place last Saturday.
It was an extremely wet day, but the crowd was really 'semangat'. Its a good thing we had an umbrella with us, or I would have already fallen ill by today.

The crowd

Felt drained from the festival, due to all the walking and standing - yet I'd a great time. Attending my first concert with Dan, made it even more special :)
Dan and I only watched the international acts. Incognito was superb! Unfortunately, their performance was a short one.
The Roots were the bom lah! Seriously! They put John Legend to shame *haha. The organisers should have placed The Roots as the closing act. After watching them, the other performances seemed mediocre.
George Clinton and The Phunk gang was just weird lah. Entertaining but weird. Haha
Ever wanted to know how a black sumo would look like...well look no further..
Its a good thing that this photo showed only the back view. From the front, it was pretty obscene. *Eek!

Didn't take any photos of John Legend or Incubus. My legs were aching excruciatingly, so we sat down on proper sits that were located quite a distance from the stage. Thank God for big screens! *hee

I can't comment much about the technical part of it. Dan is the music expert, I'm just a food major. So I'll just leave it to the expert lah :P

All in all, Dan and I had an awesome time. It would have been better if it wasn't pouring, and if we weren't that old - leg pain etc. :P

I like my job *hee

My current job is making me fat. Free milo, free nescafe, free ice-cream, free Kit Kats, free yoghurt drink, free pasta, and I could go on forever!
And since I'm based in the head office, I spend most of my time on my behind - and believe me, it ain't a good thing.
I don't have much to do, hence I managed to finish reading 'For One More Day' by Mitch Albom in two days during office hours, and I've started on another; 'The Widow Of The South' by Robert Hicks.
My supervisor is too busy to give me any additional assignments or projects *hee
But I'm really not complaining, other than the fact that I'm pilling on those kilos :P
Can't wait for the weekends!!! Arrrrrrrr.........................

The waiting

You're just 10 minutes away from home, and we'll be having dinner with my family in less than 1/2 hours time.
The last time we saw each other was just last Sunday, yet I miss you so so much - like I've not seen you for a lifetime.
I always feel hollow when you're not around, and loneliness becomes my best friend.
I wish I could be around you all the time, I wish I could kiss you whenever I yearn to, but I guess that wouldn't be a really good thing - cause I'll be kissing you endlessly, till we both run out of breath :P
I keep looking out through the glass door, waiting and hoping that the next car that passes by would be your silver proton waja.
My heart beats twice its normal pace when I know that you're on your way to meet me. It seems silly cause its not like we've just started dating, but I like that you always make my heart skip to a funny beat :)
You just sms me, saying that you're done with work and will be arriving soon.
I'm so anxious to see you, and the waiting seem like forever.
I can't wait to wrap my arms around you, and to press my lips onto your ears to whisper, 'I love you'.

My new friend

Meet my new cute friend, Daniel botak! *hee
We just met not too long ago. He follows me EVERY WHERE. He's a great companion though, especially when I start to miss Dan terribly.

Daniel botak likes to eat apples, and particularly apples that are bigger than his round botak head :P

A taste of working for the big one

I felt honoured when I found out that my application was accepted by Nestle. I could not contain my happiness and joy. I was jumping with glee, and screaming like a psychopath. Really! Dan could testify to it *hee
The good news is that I'm no longer screaming like a nut case *haha I've been acting very sanely since the beginning of work.

I went around meeting more customers today with a sales rep. As I'd mentioned before, I'm supposed to conduct a survey among the customers. Only one customer was quite responsive, the rest was very lukewarm or totally not corporative.
Since customers weren't very informative, I 'interviewed' the sales rep, and threw tonnes of questions to his face.
I think he got kind of agitated :P
Well I fully understand if he felt that way. I'd no choice, because its part of my project.
I feel a tad stressful because much is expected from me, even though I'm only an intern.
So this is the so-not-very-good part lah, just 4 days of work and I'm already feeling the pressure.
Maybe I'm just scaring myself, I've a tendency of doing that.
However it is somewhat kind of good too, it motivates me to work harder, and to find solutions to the problems that I'm currently facing with this project.

It's extremely cool and flattering that I'm working for a huge company, but it ain't easy *hee

I'm a chili sauce taster

It has been exactly three days since I'd started work at Nestle.
So far everything has been pretty good.
I've been placed under the Foodservice division, but they are changing their name to Nestle Professionals.
My supervisor is a nice Singaporean lady, she'll be mentoring me for the whole four months.
She's the manager of the I & R (Innovation % Renovation) department. She's basically responsible for the development of food products, both old and new.
I've been attending briefings by managers responsible for the different departments in the division, since day one.

On the contrary, I'd the opportunity to visit Nestle's factory in PJ on Tuesday and today for various sensory evaluations. In layman term 'food tasting'. I've been tasting chili sauces for the past two days, and all kinds of other sauces, including chicken broths.
My stomach feels a little upset today, I wonder if its due to all the food tasting or the QC test that I'd to do today (which also involves tasting, but on a food product that have been claimed to have gone bad :P)

I'll be meeting more clients and customers tomorrow. The sales people will be taking me and another new staff around, and I would have to conduct an informal survey among the customers since it's part of my assignment.

However most of the time, I'll be sited at my desk like a 'dungu' cause there's still nothing much for me to do. And at that particular period, a minute is equivalent to an hour. Seriously!
Overall, everyone has been really nice and friendly.
But I'm on my own almost all the time.
Everyone is just too busy with their work and meetings.
I guess it ain't as bad lah, since I'm currently sharing my desk with a malay girl; I've at least someone to chit chat with.

Nestle provides free flow of Milo, Nescafe and Nestea Teh Tarik for all the employees.
To me, it ain't a good thing. I've been having cups of hot Milo for the past few days, to keep myself warm and a way of drinking my boredom away :P
It is seriously hazardous to my waistline *hehe
