Since day one of their arrival, Dan and I have been huge fans of Carl's Jr. We've been freely promoting their burgers to family, friends and even acquaintances. Carl's Jr. should hire us as their ambassadors or spokesperson, and I don't mind being rewarded with a lifetime supply of burgers :D
Our must-have at Carl's Jr. would be the Double Western Bacon Cheeseburger. In my opinion, it's the best among the other burgers available on their menu. The Double Western Bacon Cheeseburger consist of 2 charbroiled beef patties, 2 strips of bacon, 2 slices of cheese, crispy onion rings, with BBQ sauce.
The combo set is price RM25++
They also have the best fries in town! McDonald's french fries would come in second. Their so good that you won't mind having them for breakfast, lunch and dinner - everyday! LOL
Burgers aren't completed without pickles!!!! Their so appetizing, that you just want to have more, and more of it! I'm so glad that I can indulge myself with this tantalizing green goodies to my stomach's content, since their 'free-flowing' at Carl's Jr :D
Usually Dan and I would have our monthly dose of Carl's Jr. at Midvalley or Sunway Pyramid, but since we were meeting up with friends at One Utama - Carl's Jr. would be somewhat the best place to enjoy a good meal with good companies.
My burger models - Jo and Trix
Anyone up for Carl's Jr.?? We've yet to have our Sept dose *grins

Only good food for Dan this week, Cass just 'see-food'
Sorry for the lack of updates, as I've not been in the pink of health lately.
Glad that I'm on the road to recovery, but its been a rather slow journey.
I wish I could quicken the pace a little.
It was good to meet with the Fly and Spunkz to celebrate their belated b'days :)
As always, our gatherings are always fill with food *hee (unfortunately no food pics were taken)
Spunkz and her boo surprised us with a lovely chocolate cake that they both baked.

The bakerz :) The cake was really good. The b'day girls; Fly and Spunkz. Already 23 but not looking a bit older *hee
Looking forward to meeting up with you girls again. Hopefully we can go for Klang bahkuteh the next time :PLast Saturday, Dan and I went for the movie Ironman. The movie was fantastic. Really good. Two thumbs up! If you're thinking of getting the pirated DVD for the movie, this movie its worth splurging on - so don't be so cheapskate, and go watch it in the cinema :P
We had dinner at Winter Warmers Coffee & Tea House, The Curve. It was my second time dinning there, but this time round - the food didn't taste as good.
Overall, I would grade their food as only mediocre. Nothing special or extravagant.

Macaroni Cheese Baked, which tasted much better than the next dish. It should be cheesier, and those frozen veggies (peas, corns & carrots) should be a big no-no in this dish.

Butter Lemon Fish - The butter lemon sauce was too sweet for my liking, and you feel 'muak' after consuming a large portion of it. I wouldn't recommend this dish to anyone, but I enjoyed the french fries :)

I doubt I'll be enjoying any good food for the whole of this week, as I am currently suffering from a terrible sore throat, which have made speaking an extremely painful experience. Hence eating has definitely been torturous =_=

I'm spoilt :P
Last Wednesday, Dan purposely drove me all the way to KLCC to have fondue! Well we actually went to Great Eastern Mall first. Dan said they used to have a Haagen Daz branch over there. However when we arrived there, no sign of HD!
Yummy fondue! Totally worth it :)After pampering me with fondue, he insisted on spoiling me rotten, even more! A lip gloss from the Body Shop! I love Body Shop products, but their a tad pricey. Anyway, I needed a new lippy, and a Body Shop lippy was definitely a bonus :) Thank you darling! *hee
On the contrary, I visited Bangsar Village for the very first time with two of my girlfriends from high school. There's nothing much there, but I managed to purchase a pair of heels worth RM20 only! *grinsThere were a few attractive items that I wanted to buy, but had to resist the temptation - allowance pun belum dapat :(
And I miss Dan terribly..cepat balik dari Genting!

All things good
I've been lazy, and also busy. Yes, been busy with thesis. But most of the time, I've just been plain lazy *smiles proudly.
Today I handed in my final, and complete copy of my thesis to my supervisor.
Sadly, I didn't make it to 60 pages. Only 45. 49 with references =_= I felt like a loser. Heard that some of my other peers wrote 70-100 pages!
Anyway, I'm not to be blamed. Those darn bacteria just refused to grow, so its mainly their fault. I'd not a single graph or chart or 3D plot to include into my results, because;
No bacteria growth = No results = 0, and 0 = thesis with less than 60 pages.

I felt sort of depressed while I was on my way to Uni, but I rubbed the feeling off and kept my mind on all the good people and things that I'm already blessed with :)
1. Valentine's Day was simply amazing. Amazing because I had the privilege of celebrating it with the man I love so very much. On that very special night; we smiled a lot, laughed a lot, ate a lot :) My only regret was that I did not take a single photo when I actually had the camera with me.
We dined at an exquisite French restaurant (if I'm not mistaken, it's called La Bouche or something closed to that *hee) in Bukit Bintang. I guess I felt a little 'pai seh' to snap, snap, snap *hee
The food was yummylicious. It was my first time tasting goose liver. Its taste and texture is very similar to cheese. However the after taste isn't very pleasant. The appetizers were so filling that I ate less than half of my main course. I wish I had a bigger stomach to accommodate 'em all! The escargots was lovely. Dan coned me into having his share, but I really didn't mind because it tasted lovely:p
The place is pricey, but its worth splurging a little more (or much more) for a really delightful and satisfying meal. Darling, thanks again! :)
2. Dinner at Itallianies, The Curve. I've been to Itallianies numerous times for various occassions, but not with my two closest chicks :P It's been more than awhile since the three of us got together, and had a meal.

We had Itallianies Mista Salad, Pasta and...
But I still prefer the Smoked Salmon pizza *drools...3. Nestle offered me an internship position!!! Will be collecting my offer letter tmr. They didn't even interview me, which came as a big surprise to me. It is truly God's favour and blessing. I'll be working in one of the world largest food company!! I'm so anxious and excited :) Internship starts next month.
I still have my thesis or VIVA presentation to prepare for, which is on the 27th of Feb (Wednesday). Hence I still have to keep my head in check, and not get too excited over anything yet *hee. Do pray for me yah.

A little of this and that
Randomness;
1. My childhood buddy Joanna, is back for good! Yay! Had bbq in her place last night. Dan and I was super late *hee Sorry! However, there's more catching up to do :) And thank you again for the pretty blouses.
2. Wednesday is a public holiday, and I just found out about it today. Will ask Dan if he wants to go shopping for his CNY clothings.
3. Dan has been working a whole lot. I want to pamper him, but I'm not sure how *aiks I'll just ask him later :)
4. I think I've put on slightly. I've been eating a little more than the usual. But 'teh fly' thought otherwise; she said I've lost weight 0_0 Her reason; 'I can feel your backbones la' =_=
5. I'm still craving for seafood; crabs, lobsters and fresh oysters! Yummy! :P
6. I want to eat more bbq-ed marshmallows!! *grins
7. Can't wait for CNY. Ang pows and more makan *hee
8. Have not been to Zoo Negara and the National Bird Park in KL for quite awhile, will make a trip there soon. Most likely next month. Sunway Lagoon too! It'll be my first time, and probably last *haha
9. Sent my resume to 10 food manufacturing & distributing companies last Friday. Hoping to get a reply from them soon. Internship begins in March, ends in June.
10. Still thinking whether to take a short break after completion of my internship, or to just work immediately.
11. Need to meet up with 2 ex-college mates before they return back to Australia.
12. So many places I want to go, and so many things I want to do. Yet so little time and money.

Eye-feasting on donuts!
I chauffeured Spunkz and KS to Tesco, Cheras in the afternoon since I'd a few hours to spare before I could resume with my lab work. Spunkz and KS needed more chicken for nugget making, while KT and Ah Ping tagged along because they wanted Big Apple donuts. I never knew they had a branch there till today. Yeah, I can be outdated at times *hee. Buying chicken was the main objective, but the first place KT and Ah Ping headed to was for the donuts! =_= haha
Ah Ping just stood there staring at the trays of donuts for quite awhile haha. It was a really funny sight. I guess he's been donut deprived for a pretty long time :P
I too stood there; busily snapping away with my camera *hee

They bought half a dozen of donuts back to Uni. I had none, even though I've not tasted Big Apple's donuts before. I used my just recovered throat as an excused, but the real reason was because I wanted to share my first bite of Big Apple's donuts with the bass player :) Yes, he hasn't had the chance of tasting them too.
Not to worry, our chance of savouring those yummy donuts will come soon. For now, I'll just feast with my eyes. Oh yes, you're welcome to do so too *hee

No longer bound by exams
I can finally scream from the top of my lungs; 'The exams are OVER!! FOREVER!!!' Muahahahaha... please excuse my insanity, I just couldn't contain it any longer *hee
While one horrible ordeal has come to its end, there's thesis to give me another ride of my life.
Met with the lecturer today, according to the missy; I'm way off schedule and I should quicken my pace or I wouldn't be able to complete my thesis on time.
Therefore, there wouldn't be any holiday break for me - I'll be back in Uni next week, working my a** off in the lab everyday!
The lab will be my second home, and bacteria will be my best friend for the coming 2 months. Addition to that, paper work would be my past time.
The worst part of it all, is that I wouldn't be able to spend as much time as I would like with the bass player. I miss him so terribly, till it makes my heart ache excruciatingly.
And I'll definitely have less time for outings with friends - but I'll try my utmost best to manage my time well, in hope that there'll be always time for the people that I love! :)

On the road to recovery
I'm recovering, but a quick one would be preferred.
I've stop taking my medications, their a tad too strong for me.
I feel more dizzy and nauseas after taking them.
My days are mostly spent asleep in bed, and the hours that I'm awake are purely for food, nature's call, and to hear from the bass player.
There's no improvement in my appetite yet. I tried eating more solids today, but it only made my tummy all woozy.
I still feel like crap, even though the pain has mostly subsided - And I'm very thankful that it has, and am also grateful for all the concerns and prayers - which made me feel a whole lot better too.
I know I shouldn't be stressing myself, however I can't help but to worry about my mid-term paper on Tuesday.
Haven't been studying due to the one-week migraine; I am truly unprepared.
Since I'm fairly well already, I shouldn't waste a single second but to hit the books immediately.
Don't worry, I'll go easy on myself :)
Before I end this post; A BIG THANK YOU goes out to the bass player, who came all the way from Setapak to take me to the medical center in Cheras (not to mention, he even missed classes because of me) - and for constantly checking up on me : ) Not forgetting; HY, yap & teh fly that helped direct and accompanied us to the MC. I'll never be able to shower each one of you with the type of gratitude that you guys deserve. From the bottom of my heart, I'm sincerely thankful.

A Wednesday night
Last night, a group of us gathered at Madam Kwan's in KLCC to celebrate Kelvin's 24th birthday. It was meant to be a surprise, but he found out about it via a sms that I'd sent to his gf *hee. I'm too lazy to blog about it, hence I'll let the pics do the 'talking' for me :P

Are frogs vertebrates?
Just got home from dinner at Kampong Ah Soh that's located in Puchong.
Went there with family friends for Mother's Day dinner.
According to Aunt Janet, they're famous for their Green Tea Rice set. It didn't even sound a bit delicious to me, but my mum was taken in with the whole green tea thing.
Since its Mother's Day my opinion about it isn't important, hence to Kampong Ah Soh we went.
Thank God that they had other dished without green tea in it. I love green tea as a tea only. I've tasted green tea flavoured ice-creams by Haagen Dazs and Baskin Robbins, and they're awful. Green tea is meant to be served just as tea, in my opinion hehe. Other than that, they taste a lil funky when their incorporated in food products.
At the restaurant, I opted for frog porridge since none of the other dishes had the word 'DELICIOUS' written over it.
The frog porridge tasted like porridge with frog meat in it haha. Nothing special.
They had various parts of the frog in the porridge, which I couldn't identify. At times, I wasn't sure what part of the frog I was putting into my mouth. One part looked like the backbone, but frogs are amphibians - they're not vertebrates rite? haha
Well I believe whatever part that was present in the porridge were edible haha.
I tried a lil of the Green Tea Rice set; the rice was blend, and the green tea soup tasted more like pepper soup. Yucks!
However mum said it tasted fine. As long she enjoyed it, I'm happy hehe.
Anyway, I would like to wish a very 'Happy and Blessed Mother's Day' to the mummies that read my blog. Even though I know only one who does hehe.

Exam-free!
I am so relieved! I'm finally done with the exams, and I've exactly one and a half weeks of holidays before the new semester resumes. So pathetic right? Just 1 and 1/2 weeks!
UCSI super kiamsiap la.
I'm so deprived of holidays! I need 'em more!! muahaha...*grins evily haha..
Excuse my siowness, it is only temporary.
It's just one of the symptoms of a person whom just completed; 3 consecutive days of intensed-energy-draining-sleep-depriving exams!
Hmm..I actually have nothing planned out for the holidays.
I'm definitely going down to Klang to create havoc in Trix's hse and to bug Ade's already-super-busy life hehe.
Yap still owes me a trip around KL haha. So maybe I'll include that into my agenda.
Might be going to the Curve with my uni mates tmr..everything is just 'maybe'.
I'm not suprised if I end up spending my holidays at home; chauffeuring my sisters to school and my mum to Tesco or Giant haha.
But anything is better than studying. Don't you agree? hehe
Oh yes, I'm still craving for sushi..
Yap bila mau pergi SHOGUN?!!!
Haih...come to think, my piggy-bank already running dry la..
Holiday + No money = No fun! haha...
Well thank God for parents. I'm their biggest parasite! hahaha...

Pretty paintings
Last Sunday, my family, few church members and I attended Aunt Stephanie's art exhibition which will be held until the 8th of April at KL PAC - from 10 to 6pm.
We had a good time; relaxing our eyes on all the beautiful and soothing paintings on the 'Kampung' life in Malaysia and also snacking on all the delicious local delicacies that was served :p
If you're free, do drop by for a visit. Aunt Steph is a nice lady, and maybe she'll spend you lunch if you were to mentioned to her that you're a friend of Cassie hehe. However the latter part is not 100% guaranteed :P
Oh, and if your parents are overly wealthy, you can always purchase the paintings hehe.
The pictures below are a few paintings that I'd captured on that day;

My mum with Aunt Steph; the talent behind all the vivacious and exquisite paintings
Sweet Alyssa and I with my favourite piece; 'The Feast'!
We are FAMILY!! ehehe
