Only 2

At this very moment in time, I'm uncertain and unsure about almost everything in my life.

The only 2 things in life that I'm very sure of are;
1. God is always in control - and that His good plans and ways will always prevail.
2. The man that I'm very much in love with (which is Dan), is the only man that I want to marry, share and spend the rest of my life with.

So many things to be excited about

I'm currently so overwhelmed with excitement!
There's just so many things to look forward to - my first real job, my future with Dan etc etc etc...
Yup, the list is unending.

Though life will be a tad more busier for the both of us, I've confidence that we'll still have time for one another, family and friends.

I wish I could completely express all of the excitement within me, but I've no idea where to begin.
I'm like a little girl with a bag of candies in her hand, and I can't decide on which candy to unwrapped and taste first *hee

I'm just thankful and grateful to God for His constant favour and blessing in Dan and my life - and we're still looking forward to more :)

All things good

I've been lazy, and also busy. Yes, been busy with thesis. But most of the time, I've just been plain lazy *smiles proudly.
Today I handed in my final, and complete copy of my thesis to my supervisor.
Sadly, I didn't make it to 60 pages. Only 45. 49 with references =_= I felt like a loser. Heard that some of my other peers wrote 70-100 pages!
Anyway, I'm not to be blamed. Those darn bacteria just refused to grow, so its mainly their fault. I'd not a single graph or chart or 3D plot to include into my results, because;
No bacteria growth = No results = 0, and 0 = thesis with less than 60 pages.

The bacteria grew in my control test, but not for the 'real-deal' one.

I felt sort of depressed while I was on my way to Uni, but I rubbed the feeling off and kept my mind on all the good people and things that I'm already blessed with :)

1. Valentine's Day was simply amazing. Amazing because I had the privilege of celebrating it with the man I love so very much. On that very special night; we smiled a lot, laughed a lot, ate a lot :) My only regret was that I did not take a single photo when I actually had the camera with me.

My valentine rose :)
We dined at an exquisite French restaurant (if I'm not mistaken, it's called La Bouche or something closed to that *hee) in Bukit Bintang. I guess I felt a little 'pai seh' to snap, snap, snap *hee
The food was yummylicious. It was my first time tasting goose liver. Its taste and texture is very similar to cheese. However the after taste isn't very pleasant. The appetizers were so filling that I ate less than half of my main course. I wish I had a bigger stomach to accommodate 'em all! The escargots was lovely. Dan coned me into having his share, but I really didn't mind because it tasted lovely:p
The place is pricey, but its worth splurging a little more (or much more) for a really delightful and satisfying meal. Darling, thanks again! :)

2. Dinner at Itallianies, The Curve. I've been to Itallianies numerous times for various occassions, but not with my two closest chicks :P It's been more than awhile since the three of us got together, and had a meal.
Joanna is back for good, and Trix has always been around. But she's been busy with work. Jo and I will soon join her in the working arena *yikes

We had Itallianies Mista Salad, Pasta and...

Pepperoni pizza!
But I still prefer the Smoked Salmon pizza *drools...

3. Nestle offered me an internship position!!! Will be collecting my offer letter tmr. They didn't even interview me, which came as a big surprise to me. It is truly God's favour and blessing. I'll be working in one of the world largest food company!! I'm so anxious and excited :) Internship starts next month.

I still have my thesis or VIVA presentation to prepare for, which is on the 27th of Feb (Wednesday). Hence I still have to keep my head in check, and not get too excited over anything yet *hee. Do pray for me yah.

little Things

This is a circulated e-mail that find I very interesting:
"A little thought...

What ever that happens in life, happens for good.....so stop worrying about the future and forget the past. After Sept. 11th, one company invited the remaining members of other companies who had been decimated by the attack on the Twin Towers to share their available office space. At a morning meeting, the head of security told stories of why these people were alive, and all the stories were just the 'L I T T L E' things.

As you might know, the head of the company survived that day:
Because his son started kindergarten.
Another fellow was alive because it was his turn to bring donuts.
One woman was late because her alarm clock didn't go off in time.
One of them missed his bus.
One spilled food on her clothes and had to take time to change.
One's car wouldn't start.
One went back to answer the telephone.
One had a child that dawdled and didn't get ready as soon as he should have.
One couldn't get a taxi.
The one that struck everyone was the man who put on a new pair of shoes that morning, took the various means to get to work but before he got there, he developed a blister on his foot. He stopped at a drugstore to buy a Band-Aid. That is why he is alive today.

Now when I am stuck in traffic, miss an elevator, turn back to answer a ringing telephone ......... all the little things that annoy me. I think to myself, this is exactly where God wants me to be at this very moment. Next time your morning seems to be going wrong, the children are slow getting dressed, you can't seem to find the car keys, you hit every traffic light, don't get mad or frustrated.

God is at work watching over you. Pass this on to someone else, if you'd like."

Too many random posts

Life becomes a drag when;
(a) I'm broke
(b) There's final exams to study for
(c) I feel fat (Do take note, I said "feel")
(d) I'm forced to go for a holiday trip during my study week
(e) I can't paint my nails - now that I'm feeling a tad stressed (All 5 decided to harden simultaneously)
(f) I can't afford to shop or feast with friends (due to deprived freedom, money and time)

(g) I miss the bass player terribly :(

However I am thankful for;
(a) God (Who's ever forgiving & understanding)
(b) My family (Though its a lil dysfunctional - there's no perfect one :P)
(c) Bass player (He never fails to put a smile on my face :) )
(d) Friends (Life would be blue without 'em)
(e) Daily blessings that come in rather small and unexpected packages :)

And a special shout out to dearest Jo;
Finally you're 22 too *hee

I could not ask for more

Love has been constantly on my mind lately.
Truth be told, there was a point in my life that I chose to not love anymore.
I was a bitter soul, and the thought of love just made me sick.
I became self-destructive; I ate to keep sadness at bay, and I would hurt myself on purpose during basketball & volleyball games to numb the emotional pain.
The bruises and sores help ease the pain.
I'm glad that I chose to love again, and to allow myself to be loved by others; specifically God.
I'm grateful that God never did gave up on me, and has now bless me with many opportunities to love many in return.
Honestly, I've never been so in love.
It's impossible for me to now go on a day without love, especially God's love.
And I'm truly delighted and thankful that God rekindled our love for each other again, that He made our paths crossed once more.
I'm just overjoyed that I've finally got what I've been waiting for - I love you.

And as cliche as it may sound, God loves you too
:)

1 Corinthians 13

1:If I speak in the tongues of men and angels,
but have not love,
I have become sounding brass or a tinkling symbol.

2:And if I have prophecy and know all mysteries and all knowledge,
and if I have all faith so as to remove mountains,
but have not love, I am nothing.

3:And if I dole out all my goods, and
if I deliver my body that I may boast
but have not love, nothing I am profited.

4:Love is long suffering,
love is kind,
it is not jealous,
love does not boast,
it is not inflated.

5:It is not discourteous,
it is not selfish,
it is not irritable,
it does not enumerate the evil.
6:It does not rejoice over the wrong, but rejoices in the truth

7:It covers all things,
it has faith for all things,
it hopes in all things,
it endures in all things.

8:Love never falls in ruins;
but whether prophecies, they will be abolished; or
tongues, they will cease; or
knowledge, it will be superseded.

13:But now remains
faith, hope, love,

these three;

but the greatest of these is love.

Simplicity has great meaning

I came across this poem from a website. It's simple, yet it expresses all that I long to thank God for :)

Thank You God
by Ashley Swanson age 6

I thank you God for my eyes
To see when I rise.

I thank you God for my nose
So I can smell a rose.

I thank you God for my hands
Which were in God’s plans

I thank you God for my ear
That helps me hear

I thank you God for my feet
Dancing is real neat

I thank you God for the food
That I chewed

I thank you God for clothes
So I can pose

I thank you God for my friends
For parties to attend

I thank you God for a house
Even with a mouse

I thank you God for toys
That make a lot of noise

I thank you God for the Bible
That is reliable

I thank you God for everything
Your praises I will sing
